Coach HarrickThe Isle of Man Basketball Association was pleased to welcome an internationally renowned Coach to the island this summer with the arrival of Coach Jim Harrick, former head coach of UCLA Bruins. Coach Harrick was visiting the island as part of the NBC Camps Basketball camp, held in King Williams College in August.

Coach Harrick was joined by Coach Fred Crowell, Founder, President and Head Basketball Coach of NBC Camps. The two coaches joined the team at NBC Isle of Man spending a week coaching basketball players from the Isle of Man to Austria at the camp.

Coach Harrick spent 8 years as Head Basketball Coach at UCLA becoming racking up an impressive record of wins (including one NCAA National Championship title) placing him second only to legendary Coach John Wooden. Over the course of his career he attained numerous Coach of the year awards and a career record of 470-235.

Coach Fred Crowell founded NBC Camps in Medical Lake, Spokane Washington in 1971 with the philosophy "Superior Athletic and Life Skills Training". It has since become the largest overnight basketball camp in the world training some 13,000 atheles every summer. Coach Crowell is an expert in the game, developing his own Pure Shooting training system and basketball.

NBC Camps have been present on the Isle of Man for over 10 years giving top quality basketball tutelage to players both from the Island and off-island and providing the chance for players to go on NBC Tour to the United States.

This year's NBC Camp was an amazing success and having Coach Harrick and Coach Crowell there made it truly special - book your place for NBC 2010 now!
